Weaver’s Cottage is a truly special countryside retreat, tucked away within the peaceful gardens of the historic 15th-century Cloth Hall. Surrounded by beautiful grounds, a duck-filled pond and rolling countryside, it offers complete calm from the moment you arrive — a place guests regularly describe as even better than the photos.
Lovingly converted and finished to an exceptional standard, the cottage blends character with luxury. Inside, the living space is warm and inviting, with a large comfy sofa positioned perfectly in front of the wood-burning stove — ideal for slow evenings with a glass of wine after a day exploring. There are also two pouffes in the lounge that unfold into two single beds, ideal for children or small adults. The well-equipped kitchen makes self-catering effortless, while thoughtful touches throughout help you feel instantly at home.
The standout feature, time and again, is the stunning spa-style bathroom. With underfloor heating, a huge freestanding bath and a separate rainfall shower, it feels more like a boutique hotel or private spa than a countryside cottage. The super-king bedroom is equally indulgent, with guests praising the comfort of the bed and the peaceful nights’ sleep.
Outside, enjoy your own enclosed courtyard with garden furniture and barbecue, or unwind in the optional private hot tub, with hire priced at £50 per night and available year-round. During the warmer months, from May to September, guests can also enjoy access to the heated outdoor swimming pool, set within the grounds, between 9am and 4pm on weekdays and 9am and 1pm at weekends, at no additional cost.
The Cottage is also pet friendly and perfect for romantic getaways, family stays, birthdays, honeymoons or simply switching off. Weaver’s Cottage offers rare tranquillity, beautiful surroundings and effortless comfort — a place guests return to again and again.

Arriving at Weaver’s Cottage, you pass through the gated grounds of Cloth Hall and immediately feel the sense of privacy and calm that guests often comment on. Step inside through the front door into a welcoming hallway with cool limestone flooring, setting the tone for the quality and finish throughout.
The sitting and dining area is the heart of the cottage — cosy, comfortable and designed for relaxation. A large corner sofa faces the log burner, making it the perfect spot for quiet evenings in. Guests love lighting the fire, settling in with a film on the Smart TV and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. A dining table sits nearby, ideal for leisurely breakfasts or intimate dinners, with an extra couple of foldaway chairs should you have additional guests staying.
The kitchen is fully equipped and thoughtfully laid out, with travertine flooring, modern appliances, a Nespresso coffee machine and everything needed for an easy stay, whether you’re cooking properly or keeping things simple.
The bedroom offers hotel-level comfort, centred around a super-king-size bed that guests repeatedly describe as incredibly comfortable. Soft lighting, fitted storage and a calm, neutral palette make it a space designed for rest and switch-off.
The bathroom is a real highlight. Underfloor heating, a beautiful freestanding bath and a separate walk-in rainfall shower create a spa-like feel that many guests say is their favourite part of the stay.
Outside, your private courtyard garden offers seating, a built-in barbecue and space to relax. The hot tub, available year-round by prior arrangement, is perfectly positioned for peaceful evenings or morning coffees while watching the wildlife. Ducks wander the pond nearby, and lucky guests sometimes even spot the famous white squirrel.

Things to Note
Please note the heated pool is only open in the Summer season - typically early May to end September, weather permitting, please check if this is important to you. Guests have shared use of the heated outdoor pool 9am to 4pm weekdays and 9am to 1pm at weekends.The price of your stay reflects whether the pool is likely to be open or not. If the hot tub in the courtyard garden is hired, guests have exclusive access and there are no time restrictions.
Smoking is not permitted at any time inside the property.
Parties, gatherings and other social functions are strictly prohibited.
Pets welcome
Guests and visitors are asked to keep noise levels to a minimum between 10pm to 7am as a courtesy the owners, other guests and our neighbours.
Please leave the property in a respectful condition. Cleaning products are in the cupboard underneath the kitchen sink, which you can use during your stay.
